Egyptian Dates
Medjool, Siwi, Barhi and Zaghloul dates — fresh in late summer and semi-dry all year — packed in cartons and shipped by reefer container.
Egypt produces more dates than any other country. Desert oases such as Siwa grow the soft, semi-dry Siwi date; the Nile Valley and new desert farms add Medjool, crunchy fresh Barhi and bright-red Zaghloul.
Fresh dates are harvested from August to October; semi-dry dates are cleaned, sorted and packed from cold storage all year, in bulk or retail packs.
