Egyptian Strawberries
Festival and Fortuna strawberries — fresh from December to April, mostly by air, and frozen IQF all year in −18 °C reefer containers.
Egypt is one of the world’s leading exporters of strawberries, especially frozen. Winter fields in Qalyubia, Ismailia and Beheira give sweet, deep-red berries from December to April.
Fresh strawberries are packed in punnets and flown for the shortest time to shelf; frozen IQF strawberries — whole or diced — are packed in 10 kg cartons and shipped in −18 °C reefer containers all year.
